Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur are both interested in snapping up Benfica defender Antonio Silva this summer.
That’s according to transfer insider Dean Jones, who has been speaking to Give Me Sport about Silva.
Jones claims that Silva is already high on Liverpool’s wish list for the summer window if they move for a centre back.
Jones adds that Tottenham have now moved Silva up their transfer wish list having seen Milan Skriniar agree to join Paris Saint-Germain.
Tottenham and Liverpool ‘seem most primed to pursue Silva’ according to Jones, at least more so than Manchester United.
The problem for all clubs interested in Silva is the asking price.
Benfica don’t want to lose Silva and they have great leverage with a €100million (£88million) release clause in the defender’s deal.

Who is Liverpool and Tottenham target Antonio Silva?
Benfica always seem to manage to have a top talent in their ranks who can be sold for big money.
In January it was Enzo Fernandez. Last summer it was Darwin Nunez. In years gone by, it has been Joao Felix, Ruben Dias, Ederson, Victor Lindelof and Renato Sanches.
Silva could be next having made himself a star for Benfica this season.
Silva, 19, has risen through the Benfica ranks having previously been with Viseu United.
The 6ft 2in centre back made his first-team debut last season and has now become a vital player for Roger Schmidt.
Silva has played 34 games in all competitions this term, bagging four goals in the process.
Hailed as ‘absurd’ and ‘incredible’ by Juanma Lillo, Silva is being tipped to become an absolute superstar at centre back.
You can understand why Liverpool and Tottenham are so keen on the teenager, no doubt believing that he can shape their back lines for years to come.
Yet with Benfica demanding huge cash, a summer deal seems difficult to imagine for the Premier League duo.
