Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly keen on Stevenage defender Ben Wilmot.

According to the Daily Mail, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur are poised to go head-to-head over the signature of Stevenage youngster Ben Wilmot.
Liverpool have raided Football League clubs in recent years to sign Joe Gomez and Sheyi Ojo, and with scouts up and down the country, they may look do it again.

Meanwhile, Spurs have seen Dele Alli thrive since his 2015 move from Milton Keynes Dons, and his success may well mean that Tottenham search for the next Football League talent.
Now, the Daily Mail report that both clubs are interested in signing Stevenage teenager Ben Wilmot, with Premier League clubs keen to land him.
Wilmot, 18, was born in Stevenage and has come up through the ranks with his hometown club, given that he is the son of former Stevenage goalkeeper Richard Wilmot.

The centre back has featured three times for Stevenage this season, and his performances in the EFL Trophy have attracted Premier League scouts.
Spurs looked at Stevenage defender Ryan Johnson – now on loan at Boreham Wood – last season, and now appear to be keen on one of his teammates in Wilmot, with a battle with Liverpool potentially on the cards.
