Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly keen on Lazio’s Adam Marusic.

According to Italian newspaper Gazzetta Dello Sport, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur are both keen on Lazio defender Adam Marusic ahead of the summer transfer window.
Marusic, 25, had a fairly low-key opening to his career, starting out with Teleoptik and Vozdovac in Serbia, before heading to Belgium with Kortrijk and Oostende.
Having impressed with his goalscoring ability from right back, notching 15 goals in 106 league games in Belgium, Lazio swooped to land the Montenegrin international, and he has played a key part this season.

Featuring as a right wing back in Simone Inzaghi’s side, Marusic has made 33 appearances in all competitions this season, grabbing three goals and six assists whilst continuing to be fairly unheralded in a team containing bigger names such as Stefan de Vrij, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Ciro Immobile.
However, Marusic does appear to have caught the eye with his displays, as Italian newspaper Gazzetta Dello Sport now report that both Liverpool and Tottenham – as well as Inter Milan – are keen to sign him this summer.
Lazio can expect a major profit on the £5.6million they paid for Marusic last summer if he does move on, but major interest from both Liverpool and Tottenham would be something of a surprise.

Liverpool have seen Trent Alexander-Arnold excel this season, putting himself in contention for England’s World Cup squad, whilst Nathaniel Clyne is working his way back to fitness and Joe Gomez can also play at right back, meaning it isn’t an area Jurgen Klopp should be focused on.
Meanwhile, Spurs not only have Kieran Trippier and Serge Aurier battling it out at right back under Mauricio Pochettino, but Kyle Walker-Peters is also coming through, and Marusic would only stunt his development.
