Liverpool and Manchester City are interested in signing Michael Olise in the summer of 2021, according to Eurosport.

Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig, Chelsea, Napoli and AS Monaco are also claimed to be interested in securing the services of the French attacking player, who is under contract at Reading until 2022.

Promising talent

Olise was at Chelsea and City as a youth player, but it is at Reading where the 19-year-old has made his first-team breakthrough and is starting to show what he is capable of.

The France Under-18 international can operate as an attacking midfielder or as a winger and was described as “a real talent” and “fearless” by his Reading teammate Sam Baldock in The Reading Chronicle in January 2020.

According to WhoScored, Olise has scored five goals and provided 10 assists in 37 Championship games for Reading so far this season.

The youngster would make Liverpool and City better in attack and would be a good long-term signing for the Reds or the Citizens.

TEAMtalk reported last month that Championship club Reading are looking for £10 million as transfer fee for Olise.
