According to Kicker, Liverpool and Manchester City are interested in signing Borussia Monchengladbach maestro Florian Neuhaus.

The German news outlet state that Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund and Juventus are also keen on signing the 23-year-old midfielder.

Kicker add that Neuhaus has a €40 million (£35 million) release clause in his contract with the Bundesliga outfit.

The 3-cap Germany international feels very comfortable at the Borussia-Park stadium, and has a contract with Borussia Monchengladbach lasting until 2024.

If a club activates his release clause, however, they will be able to negotiate directly with Neuhaus.

So, what kind of player is the former Fortuna Düsseldorf man, and why do so many top clubs want him?

Well, the Bundesliga’s official website made an interesting comparison when heaping bundles of praise on the German midfielder.

In what respect?

Well, they claim that his tendency to roam and drift between the lines, rather than stay in one position, is similar to how Müller plays his football.

At just 23 years of age, whoever lands Neuhaus could be getting the next big thing coming out of German football.
