Federico Valverde has turned down approaches from Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool and Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City, according to a report.

90min have reported that Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea all are interested in signing Federico Valverde from Real Madrid in the summer transfer window.

The Reds, the Citizens and the Blues all have “enquired this summer”, as have Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich.

However, according to the report,”none of those informal approaches were received positively and were immediately dismissed”.

Both Madrid and Valverde’s representatives have made it clear to interested clubs that there is no desire for any move away, according to the report.

Could Liverpool or Manchester City sign Federico Valverde?

In our opinion, Liverpool, Chelsea or Manchester City are unlikely to be able to sign Federico Valverde from Real Madrid in the summer transfer window.

If £181,000-a-week (SalarySport) 24-year-old, who can operate in central midfield or on the right wing, does not want to leave and Madrid themselves are not planning to sell him, then there is no way that Liverpool, Chelsea or City would be able to change that stance.

After all, Valverde is one of the best players in the world and is playing for arguably the biggest club on the planet.

There is no need for the Uruguay international to look for a new club.

During his time at Madrid so far, Valverde has won La Liga twice, the UEFA Champions League once, and the Copa del Rey on one occasion.
