According to Corriere Dello Sport, Manchester City have joined the race to sign Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic this summer.

It’s claimed that Fiorentina are working on a new deal for Vlahovic, but they fear he could still be on the move with just over two years left on his contract.

Fiorentina may be tempted into selling if big money is offered, as they were when Juventus came knocking for Federico Chiesa.

It’s thought that Manchester City are keen on Vlahovic, with Real Madrid also in the race to sign the Serbian who is valued at around €50million (£43million).

Vlahovic is a man in demand. Calciomercato recently suggested that Arsenal want to sign him, whilst Liverpool are keen according to Tuttosport.

The 21-year-old striker has been in superb form this season, racking up 16 goals in 31 games for Fiorentina in a stunning campaign.

It’s no great surprise that City are being linked with an exciting young striker; Sergio Aguero is leaving this summer and they need to find a long-term successor, which could be Vlahovic.

Liverpool and Arsenal may be left disappointed if City make their move, but few could blame him if he fancies playing for Pep Guardiola whilst attempting to replace Aguero.
