Reports from Spain cite Liverpool and Arsenal as Jan Oblak’s main suitors.

Reports in Spain continue to point to Liverpool and Arsenal as the teams most likely to sign Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak.
Oblak is regarded as La Liga’s best goalkeeper, succeeding Thibaut Courtois at Atletico.
The Slovenian stopper has a huge release clause in his contract of 100 million Euros (£88m).
It would be a huge commitment from either Liverpool or Arsenal to pay that sort of money, but they would be buying an elite player in a key position.

Arsenal need a successor for Petr Cech, and they need only look at their problems before he arrived to see how important it is, while Liverpool have had issues in goal ever since Pepe Reina left.
Oblak is under contract until 2021 although Atletico would prefer to sign him to a new deal amid concerns a team could come in and pay his release clause.
A new contract would allow them the opportunity to increase or erase his clause.
Loris Karius has been much improved for Liverpool in recent weeks, but Oblak would be a big improvement at Anfield.
