Liverpool and Arsenal have been tracking Leonardo Pavoletti.
Liverpool and Arsenal are both keen on signing Genoa striker Leonardo Pavoletti, report Italian outlet Tuttomercatoweb.
It is reported that the duo both sent scouts to watch Pavoletti in action, after checking out Gregoire Defrel.
Pavoletti, 27, has had a mixed season so far, scoring three goals in five games, with two in four Serie A matches.
He earned his first call-up for the Italian national side in August, although is yet to make his debut for the Azzurri.

His recent success caps a remarkable rise, as just two years ago he was playing for Serie B side Varese, where he netted 24 times in 39 games.
He came close to a signing for Championship club Leeds United on two occasions, with Football Italia reporting in 2014 that he flew to England for talks and had a tour of the team’s training ground.
Pavoletti ended up signing for Serie A side Genoa, for who he has scored 24 goals in 41 matches, sparking new interest in his signature. He is currently under contract until 2019.
It would be a surprise to see him clinch a big move to Arsenal or Liverpool, where he would not be guaranteed a regular starting spot, but he has between now and January to drive up further interest in his signature.
