Liverpool are set to be active once the transfer window re-opens again.

According to a report in the Telegraph, Jurgen Klopp wants to sign five new players at Liverpool in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Liverpool were not active in January, despite seeing their form dip over recent weeks.

However, the Telegraph claim that this was all part of the long-term plan, as Liverpool are targeting next summer to strengthen their squad.

The Reds have been tracking targets right across Europe, as they search for the best talent available to them.

Klopp is said to have a five-man wishlist at Anfield, and Liverpool have been tracking each of the players for some time.

Liverpool are also expected to sell some players, to raise funds and make rooms for new additions.

One of the players who is most at risk of losing his place at the Merseyside club is Daniel Sturridge.

Sturridge has failed to hold down a place in Liverpool’s line-up this season, and could find himself made available for transfer in the near future.
