The Sunderland midfielder is reportedly on the verge of joining Liverpool.
According to a report from the Sun (print edition Sunday September 2nd, page 59), Liverpool have a agreed a deal to sign Sunderland youngster Luca Stephenson for just £500,000.
The 15-year-old midfielder is one of the Black Cats’ brightest young prospects, and he has been compared to Liverpool ace Jordan Henderson.
Reds boss Jürgen Klopp is well renowned for working with youngsters, and getting the best out of them.
Stephenson certainly has a lot of potential, and could become a real star under the guidance of the German.
According to a report from the Sun (print edition Sunday September 2nd, page 59), the 15-year-old was happy to remain at Sunderland, but the offer from Liverpool was too good to turn down, and the Reds could have one seriously good bargain on their hands.
Stephenson will reportedly go straight into Liverpool’s youth setup, and he will certainly be one to keep a close eye on.
