Liverpool are snapping up Bobby Duncan from Manchester City.
According to The Mirror, Liverpool have snapped up Bobby Duncan after agreeing a £200,000 compensation fee with rivals Manchester City for his signature.
The Reds have added Brazilian anchor man Fabinho to their first team, but they have also placed a focus on adding another talent to their youth ranks.
Manchester City’s Bobby Duncan has been linked with Liverpool for more than two months, with many expecting that the teenager – Steven Gerrard’s cousin – would be making the move to Anfield.
On Tuesday, Duncan took to Instagram to confirm that he is leaving Manchester City after six years with the club, bringing an end to his time at the Etihad Stadium.
After the post, many thought that Duncan would be on his way to Liverpool, and The Mirror report that Liverpool have now completed their move for Duncan after agreeing a £200,000 compensation fee for his services.
Duncan, 17, will now head to Anfield to try and follow in the footsteps of cousin Gerrard, and represents an exciting signing for Jurgen Klopp’s men, even as one for the future.
The forward has hit 10 goals in 23 games for England across various youth levels, and with Rhian Brewster also in the Liverpool ranks, the Reds could have a couple of exciting English attackers in the coming years.
