The Liverpool striker is struggling to be fit for tonight’s game.

According to a report from Spanish media outlet Cadena Ser, Roberto Firmino will not start tonight’s Champions League clash with Barcelona, having failed a late fitness test.
The Brazilian hasn’t played for the Reds since Sunday April 21st, after suffering an ankle knock, but they had hoped that he would be back in time for tonight’s game at the Camp Nou.
Firmino is vital to the way in which Liverpool operate, and Jurgen Klopp will be desperate to have the striker back and available for selection as soon as possible.
It seems as though tonight might have come too quick, however.
Spanish outlet Cadena Ser claims that the 27-year-old failed a late fitness test in Barcelona today, and is not fit to start the game, although he might make the substitutes bench.

It remains to be seen whether Klopp decides to stick with the same 4-3-3 formation and use Daniel Sturridge or Divock Origi instead of Firmino, or whether he opts to play just two up front.
Either way, Firmino being unavailable for tonight’s game will be a big blow for Liverpool.
