Nottingham Forest want to move on as many as eight players in the summer transfer window, according to The Nottingham Post.

A number of players have already left Forest, including Eric Lichaj, Jack Hobbs and Armand Traore.

The Nottingham Post has claimed that manager Aitor Karanka wants to offload eight further players – either on loan or on a permanent basis – and has also named them.

Michael Mancienne, Barrie McKay, Jamie Ward, Apostolos Vellios, Zach Clough, Gboly Ariyibi, Stephen Henderson and Dimi Evtimov have been named in the list.

Back to Bolton Wanderers for Zach Clough?

Much was expected of Clough when he joined Forest from Bolton Wanderers in January 2017 for a transfer fee reported by The Nottingham Post to be worth £3 million.

The 23-year-old, who can operate as a forward or as an attacking midfielder, has struggled to make a huge impact at the City Ground and spent the second half of last season on loan at his former club Bolton.

There is no doubt that Clough is hugely talented, and Forest should not sell him this summer and perhaps they should send him out on loan back to Bolton again.
