Tottenham Hotspur are seemingly looking to South America for talent.

According to Sky Sports, Tottenham Hotspur may have an interest in Inter Milan striker Gabriel Barbosa – but they may already be too late if they want to sign him.
Spurs sent scout Steve Hitchen over to Brazil earlier this month, and he’s understood to have been impressed by Gremio winger Everton Soares.
Hitchen watched Gremio in action against Flamengo in the Copa Libertadores, and it seems that somebody who went up against Everton could also be on the Spurs radar.
It’s believed that striker Barbosa could also be on the Hitchen’s radar, having re-established himself as a goal machine back in Brazil.
The 23-year-old hitman has hit 33 goals in just 46 games on loan at Flamengo, hot on the heels of 27 goals in 53 outings for Santos having struggled to settle at Inter Milan.
Known as ‘Gabigol’, Barbosa was touted as Brazil’s next big thing when he was at Santos, but his move to Europe saw him flop with Inter, and whilst he’s impressing with Flamengo, success in Europe is still the big question mark.

Barbosa has developed into a well-rounded attacker, and he could be a great option to support Harry Kane in the Tottenham attack, but Spurs may already be too late.
FOX Sports in Brazil claim that Barbosa is set to snub European offers and join Flamengo permanently for €22million (£19million), with the Brazilian side seeking a major coup, that may leave Spurs having to consider other options.
