Remy could be set for a move to England with Leeds United and Queens Park Rangers reportedly keen.

Leeds United are pushing to sign Montpellier defender William Remy, with Queens Park Rangers also keen according to L’Equipe.

It is claimed that while no offers have yet been made for Remy, interest from England has mounted over the past few hours.

Both Leeds and QPR are short in the 26-year-old’s natural position of centre-half, although he can also play at right-back and as a defensive midfielder if required.

And with his contract due to expire at the end of the campaign, the Ligue 1 side could be tempted into selling before Thursday’s 11pm transfer deadline.

Remy, a former France Under-19 international, is a product of the famed Lens academy, and spent three years on Dijon’s books before moving to Montpellier in 2015.

The six-footer has appeared close to 50 times in France’s top flight.
