Everton have been linked with a surprise move for Claudio Ranieri.

According to France Football, Everton could be one destination for Nantes manager Claudio Ranieri as they consider their options this summer.
The Toffees parted ways with Ronald Koeman back in October, and landed Sam Allardyce as his successor just a month later as Farhad Moshiri went for a proven Premier League boss.
However, Allardyce hasn’t connected with Everton fans, and results on the pitch – just four wins in 2018 – have landed him in trouble, with many expecting him to be given the chop this summer.
Allardyce’s contract with Everton may run until next summer, but potential replacements are already being touted, and a new name has entered the frame according to reports in France.

France Football claim that Nantes boss Claudio Ranieri is one target for the Toffees, having put his side in contention for European football in his first season in charge.
The 66-year-old won the Premier League title with Leicester but has been rebuilding his reputation in France, with a return to England seemingly not out of the question, two years since his miraculous title win.
Ranieri would be a shock appointment for Everton and hardly a move for the future, whilst the potential departure of Steve Walsh – a man Ranieri worked closely with at Leicester – may also suggest that Ranieri isn’t a top target for Moshiri and co this summer, rather just a name discussed in passing.
