Rangers may face competition as they look to lure winger Jordan Jones to Ibrox.
According to the Daily Mail, Hull City have joined Rangers in the race to sign Kilmarnock winger Jordan Jones during the January transfer window.
Jones, 23, came up through the ranks with Middlesbrough before heading to Kilmarnock in 2016 – a move which has seriously aided his development.
The winger hit four goals in 43 games last season, as well as three goals in 25 games this term as he continues to impress for Kilmarnock.
Unsurprisingly, Jones’ performances at Rugby Park have sparked interest in his signature, with The Sunday Post recently reporting that Rangers are hoping to lure him to Ibrox in January.
Now, the Daily Mail report that Hull City have joined the race to land Jones ahead of the January transfer window, with new boss Nigel Adkins eyeing reinforcements.
With 18 months left on his deal, Jones may be looking to earn a big move in the near future, and Hull are now ready to battle Burnley, Norwich City and Rangers in the battle for his signature.
Rangers may therefore need to move quickly to land Jones, as a move back to England could be appealing given that he will want to prove Middlesbrough wrong for letting him go.
A Northern Ireland international with one cap to his name, Jones looks set to be in demand in January, with at least four clubs battling for his signature – and Kilmarnock may well be preparing for the worst.
