Leeds were said to be interested in Venezia midfielder Leo Stulac last month.

Venezia midfielder Leo Stulac is closing in on a move to newly-promoted Serie A giants Parma for a knockdown price according to Sky Italy journalist Gianluca Di Marzio – just weeks after being linked with a move to Leeds United.

The uncapped Slovenia midfielder scored seven goals from deep, as well as adding four assists during his 24 league and cup outings last term. With his contract position undecided at Venezia, clubs came calling.

Indeed, Leeds were one of those by making an enquiry and Di Marzio has now claimed on his website that Stulac is set to leave his current side for just £1.1million plus £300,000 in bonuses.

That knockdown figure will see Stulac join Parma, who are set to return to Serie A after three successive promotions from the fourth tier. The former giants were forced to restart in Serie D after their financial collapse.
But Leeds have seemingly decided against making a move for Stulac, and instead Parma are set to sign the powerful central midfielder for a bargain price that Leeds could come to rue.
