According to The Scottish Sun, Celtic have told playmaker Lewis Morgan that he can go out on loan for the rest of the season, with Aberdeen and Nottingham Forest keen.

The Bhoys signed Morgan from St Mirren last January, before sending him back to the Buddies for the remainder of last season, helping them win promotion.

With 18 goals last season, fans were excited about the young Scot, but have barely seen him in action for Celtic; he has played 13 games in all competitions this term.

The 22-year-old needs playing time, and The Scottish Sun claim that Celtic have told Morgan that he has permission to go out on loan for the rest of the campaign.

It’s added that a host of clubs are keen, notably Aberdeen and Championship side Nottingham Forest, with Morgan receiving vast interest.

Forest are now managed by ex-Celtic boss Martin O’Neill, and he may seek a favour from his former club in the pursuit to land Morgan.

However, having seen Ryan Christie develop perfectly at Aberdeen, Celtic may well be keen to send Morgan to Pittodrie too, handing Derek McInnes another top Bhoys talent.

Hull City are also in the race, and it’s widely expected that Morgan will move out on loan in the next 10 days – but his destination remains unknown.
