Tottenham’s Hugo Lloris is reportedly in a contract stand-off with the club.
According to The Mirror and The Telegraph, Tottenham Hotspur are in a contract stand-off with goalkeeper Hugo Lloris, as Daniel Levy won’t budge on his wage structure.
Lloris, 29, has been one of Tottenham’s key players ever since joining the club from Lyon back in the summer of 2012, racking up well over 150 appearances for the club whilst establishing himself as one of the best goalkeepers in the Premier League, and in the world.

The French international is a world-class goalkeeper that Tottenham depend upon, but there are some doubts over his future at White Hart Lane based off reports emerging on Thursday evening.
Both The Mirror and The Telegraph report that Spurs are in a stand-off with Lloris over his contract situation, as chairman Daniel Levy is refusing to budge over the club’s structure.
Tottenham’s Hugo Lloris makes a save
It’s claimed that the goalkeeper is keen to commit his future to the club, but Levy isn’t willing to offer any player – even Harry Kane – more than £100,000-a-week, and Lloris allegedly knows that he can earn more elsewhere.
The report states that Spurs and Lloris are ‘some distance apart’ on a new deal, but Tottenham aren’t in any rush to get the deal done, as Lloris is under contract with the club until the summer of 2019.

With new deals tied up for the likes of Kyle Walker, Eric Dier, Danny Rose and Dele Alli, Tottenham will hope to keep the core of their side together, but the Lloris situation will be a nagging concern.
Spurs fans are often frustrated by Levy’s policies, and he would surely be met with fierce criticism if his frugal ways resulted in Lloris leaving White Hart Lane.
