Daniel Levy still believes that Dele Alli could be used regularly at Tottenham Hotspur this season, EuroSport suggest.
Alli has struggled badly at Tottenham this season, with Jose Mourinho continuously overlooking the England international.
Alli has missed out on even making Spurs match day squad on multiple occasions and it is now believed that Mourinho would be open to offloading the attacking midfielder, who he once called ‘amazing’ (Daily Express), in the new year.
However, Levy apparently has his own doubts over whether sanctioning a deal would be a smart move.
Levy reportedly thinks that if Tottenham have an injury crisis then Alli could still be a useful member of the squad, given the quality he still possesses.
The Tottenham chairman has faith in Alli’s ability, and apparently still believes that he could well break back into the starting line-up this term, if he is given a chance.
The latest update says that Alli would be very open to a move abroad in the new year, but Tottenham may not sanction a deal with Levy so reticent to let him go.

That could be a blow to Alli’s chances of making it back into the England squad in time for the European Championships.
Alli has not only fallen out of favour at club level, but he has also lost his place in the Three Lions’ set-up, and without regular football it is difficult to see how the 24-year-old could get back into Gareth Southgate’s squad.
