Moussa Sissoko looks set to end his five-year spell as a Tottenham Hotspur player.
Sissoko hasn’t even been making matchday squads under new Spurs boss Nuno Espirito Santo this season in what is a damning indictment that he has no future under the Portuguese.
Fabrizio Romano reported on Thursday that Watford are keen on signing the player, who cost Tottenham a cool £30 million when they signed him from Newcastle United in 2016.
And Football London has reported that the North London club are confident that a move to Vicarage Road will materialise before Tuesday’s transfer deadline.
The report adds that the Hornets themselves believe that they will be signing the France international.

This makes complete sense for all parties.
Sissoko clearly has no future at Tottenham and his exclusion from the squad for last night’s Europa Conference League win over Pacos de Ferreira is a huge indication of that.
If you can’t even get selected for this competition, with Nuno including a lot of fringe youngsters in the squad, then it’s a bad sign.
His first-team prospects will be infinitely better at Watford and you can understand why the Lilywhites are keen for it to happen, too.
The former Magpie is on £80,000 per week, which will save the North Londoners around £8 million in terms of the wage bill, with Sissoko – who turned 32 this month – still having two years left on his contract.
