According to Milan Live, Tottenham are happy to meet the wage demands of Franck Kessie, although Mauricio Pochettino and PSG are as well.

What’s the story?

Well, the 52-cap Ivory Coast international’s contract expires in June, and AC Milan are struggling to agree a new deal with the Tottenham target.

Milan Live believe Kessie is demanding €10m-a-year (£8.5m-a-year) which equates to £163,461-a-week.

However, AC Milan are refusing to go above €6m-a-year (£5m-a-year), which is a long, long way apart from the 24-year-old’s demands.

Milan Live believe Tottenham and PSG can afford it, and are happy to give Kessie the salary in order to sign him as a free agent in 2022.

The AC Milan No.79 is a key player at the San Siro, and scored 14 goals from midfield last season while also recording six assists.

If Daniel Levy and Fabio Paratici can get him to Hotspur Way, it would be a fantastic signing in a position desperately needing reinforcements.

Antonio Conte will be happy to see Franck Kessie at Tottenham

If Spurs can lure Kessie to N17, they would put a big smile on the face of Antonio Conte.

Why? Well, Italian journalist Rudy Galleti believes Conte has specifically asked Tottenham to sign the Ivorian, as he aims to bolster his squad.

In our view, that says a lot.

The 52-year-old knows Serie A like the back of his hand, so if he thinks Kessie is worth signing, Levy should respond.

Furthermore, it would be quite the statement if Spurs fought off PSG to sign the box-to-box midfielder, given the French side’s riches.

Keep an eye on this saga, as it seems highly unlikely Kessie will be staying at AC Milan.
