Paulo Fonseca is back in the frame to be Tottenham Hotspur’s next manager, with Nuno’s job now hanging in the balance, the Daily Mirror say.
Fonseca to Tottenham?
Totteham’s 3-0 defeat to Manchester United at the weekend seems to have forced Daniel Levy into action.
Nuno could now be dismissed just four months after taking charge at Spurs.
The Portuguese boss said that he was going to make Tottenham fans proud in his first interview.
But nine goals in 10 Premier League games later, and that promise has not come true.
Spurs are now looking at alternative options, and Fonseca is apparently back on their radar.
Change of heart
Tottenham looked at Fonseca in the summer, and he had agreed terms on a three-year deal, only for Fabio Paratici to look elsewhere.
The Spurs chief may be regretting that decision now, as Nuno has proved a hugely disappointing appointment to date.

If Fonseca did take charge he would surely make Tottenham more of an attacking force.
The 48-year-old has built of a reputation for playing on the front foot over his career, where he has collected nine trophies.
His style of play has been labelled as ‘amazing’ by Pep Guardiola.
And the likes of Harry Kane and Heung-Min Son would surely be relishing playing under a more attacking minded coach, after struggling to show their best so far this season.
Just how well his appointment would go down with Tottenham fans remains to be seen, though.
Antonio Conte has been heavily linked with the Spurs job since Nuno’s future came under threat (Fabrizio Romano), but it seems that Fonseca is very much a viable alternative candidate.
