The teenage Levski Sofia goalkeeper, Dimitar Sheytanov, could be set for a move to Leeds United.
According to Sportal.bg, a deal has been personally arranged by the Levski owner, Spas Rusev, and aided by the Bulgarian side’s manager, Lachezar Tanev.
The report adds, however, that it could take until the end of the month before a final decision is made.
Sheytanov’s contract is said to expire at the end of the year, although his sale will still make Levski a big amount of money, according to Sportal.bg.
The Bulgaria Under-19 international has yet to play senior football of any kind, and it is likely that he would join up with Leeds’ talented Under-23 side initially.
The Whites may have struggled in Sheytanov’s position at first team level, but are not short of emerging talent between the sticks.
Bailey Peacock-Farrell has already made his senior breakthrough, while Will Huffer and Harrison Male have each been capped by England’s youth teams.
Leeds also offered a new contract to 2017 recruit Kamil Miazek in May.
