According to Footmercato, Bayer Leverkusen are considering making a first offer for Djibril Sidibe who spent the past season on loan at Everton.
The Monaco fullback joined the Toffees on a season-long loan deal last summer.
Sidibe made 25 Premier League appearances, predominantly featuring at right-back.
Everton had the option to sign the player permanently for around £13.5 million. However, at the end of the campaign, the Merseyside club backed out of a deal.
The global health pandemic has impacted finances across football while Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti may have a limited budget and other areas to strengthen.
Sidibe, meanwhile, seemingly isn’t short of interest elsewhere.
Footmercato claim Sevilla and Paris Saint-Germain are suitors, while Bayer Leverkusen are pushing hardest with the Bundesliga club considering a first offer of £9 million.
The French editorial claim Monaco will hope for at least £10 million for the 28-year-old.
Everton’s Seamus Coleman ended the campaign as the cub’s number one right-back. At 31, he is still showing plenty of ability while his attitude is spot on.
The Toffees will need a long-term replacement, but Sidibe wasn’t likely to be that player.
Ancelotti’s side tailed off toward the end of the campaign. The club have a big summer ahead of them and strengthening the midfield should be their top priority.
