The Blades striker is reportedly surplus to requirements at Bramall Lane even ahead of Hogan’s seemingly imminent arrival.

Sheffield United striker Leon Clarke is undergoing a medical at Wigan Athletic ahead of a loan switch until the end of the season, according to a report.
The 33-year-old has made 24 appearances in the Championship this season, registering three goals and three assists, but appears to have been made surplus to requirements this month.
At the start of the month, Gary Madine arrived at Bramall Lane from Cardiff City on loan until the end of the season, while Scott Hogan is also believed to be closing in on a loan stint at United, according to Sky Sports News.
As a result, Clarke seems to have been freed up to make a move of his own and, according to the same outlet, is now on the verge of joining a club where he played earlier in his career, having made 10 appearances for Wigan in 2015 on loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Clarke began his career at Molineux and has played for a multitude of clubs, having been on the books of Queens Park Rangers, Sheffield Wednesday, Swindon Town, Charlton Athletic and Coventry City, plus numerous loan spells in England, according to Transfermarkt.
Paul Cook’s charges, who strengthened their ranks earlier this week with the signing of Danny Fox from Nottingham Forest, are currently 20th in the Championship and face Queens Park Rangers at the DW Stadium on Saturday.
