According to Le10 Sport, Lens have made their first move for Brest midfielder Haris Belkebla – days after he was linked with Celtic.

It’s claimed that the newly-promoted side are looking to bolster their squad. They have already added Millionarios goalkeeper Wuilker Farinez in a coup, and are now looking for other additions.

A first offer has now allegedly been made for Brest midfielder Belkebla, which has been rejected – but Belkebla is thought to be keen on a move to Lens.

Brest are determined to keep hold of the Algerian, and it remains to be seen whether Lens launch another bid for the midfielder.

Celtic may be keeping close tabs on the situation. Le Buteur in Algeria reported earlier this week that the Bhoys are very interested in signing Belkebla.

He is thought to be interested in joining the Bhoys, but Celtic have yet to make any concrete move to sign him.

With Lens making their move, Celtic may need to be quick. Celtic would seemingly have a greater budget to work with, but it’s now a case of just how much Neil Lennon and co really want him.
