Leicester City could part ways with manager Claude Puel this summer.

According to the Daily Star, Leicester City are lining up a move to make Newcastle United’s Rafael Benitez their new manager this summer.
The Foxes went into the season with Craig Shakespeare as their boss, but sacked him in October and made the surprise decision to appoint Claude Puel in his place.
Puel had lasted just one season with Southampton before heading to the King Power Stadium, and whilst he started well with five wins in his first eight games, recent results have been conerning.
Saturday’s 5-0 thrashing at Crystal Palace now means it’s three defeats in four and just two wins in 11, piling the pressure on the Frenchman – and reports suggest he could be on his way out of the club.

The Daily Star report that not only is there dressing room unrest under Puel, but the club’s owners are prepared to part ways and target Newcastle United’s Rafael Benitez as his replacement.
Benitez, 58, has worked wonders with his Newcastle side this season, and whilst the Spaniard has lost his last two games, he has overseen a run to safety despite a limited squad at his disposal.
Benitez is waiting for financial backing before committing his future to Newcastle, and the ongoing confusion over a possible takeover may just give Leicester the opportunity to swoop in and land him.
A move to another Premier League club would be hard to swallow for Newcastle, and these rumours may just spark the Magpies and Ashley into life over securing Benitez’s future ahead of the summer.
