Leicester City have joined Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea in the race for £20 million-rated Ajax full-back Nicolas Tagliafico this summer, according to Le10 Sport.
By the time the 2020/21 season kicks off, Ajax’s starting XI could be almost unrecognisable from the thrilling, fresh-faced side who stunned Real Madrid and Juventus en route to the Champions League semi-finals a year ago.
Hakim Ziyech, Matthijs de Ligt and Frenkie de Jong have departed already, with Andre Onana, Daley Blind, David Neres and more tipped to follow in their footsteps.
And Tagliafico, the Argentina international with a remarkable goalscoring record from left-back, could be the next out of the door.
Le10 Sport claims that Brendan Rodgers’ Leicester are the latest club to express an interest with the Foxes expected to lose a star full-back of their own this summer.
Ben Chilwell is now Chelsea’s top target after a deal to bring Timo Werner to Stamford Bridge was all-but wrapped up (Goal).
And there would be few better replacements for the England international than a man who helped Ajax end their five-year trophy drought with an Eredivisie and KNVB Cup double last season.

Tagliafico, with 12 goals and assists this season, is exactly the kind of uber-attacking full-back who looks tailor-made for Rodgers’ free-flowing style.
And with Leicester set to qualify for the Champions League, they are one of the few clubs in England who will be free to spend big this summer – particularly if Chilwell departs for a huge sum.
The Sun claimed recently that Tagliafico, at the peak of his powers, is desperate to prove himself in the Premier League before it is too late.
