Premier League duo Leicester City and Watford are reportedly interested in signing Lazio’s Serie A centre-back Bastos.

Watford and Leicester City are interested in experienced centre-back Bastos and Lazio could be tempted to sell for a fee of around £13.5 million, according to La Lazio Siamo Noi.
With the new Premier League season just two weeks away, time is running out for clubs in England’s top flight to reinforce their squad.
Watford are hoping to enhance a team that thrived beyond all expectations last season, finishing comfortably clear of the relegation zone while reaching the FA Cup final.
Leicester, meanwhile, are being forced to plan for the potential departure of Manchester United target Harry Maguire, even if their priority is to keep the influential centre-back at the King Power Stadium.
Reports in Italy suggest that Leicester have identified 27-year-old Bastos as a potential successor for the England international. Comfortable on the ball and fond of a marauding run from deep, the Angolan international certainly shares a few stylistic similarities with Maguire.

Watford have apparently made contact with Bastos’ representatives to find out whether he is available, though Lazio would prefer to keep hold of a player who helped Simone Inzaghi’s side win the Coppa Italia last season.
A £13.5 million offer, which would be a drop in the ocean for Leicester if Maguire does go and brings in around £80 million, could be enough to tempt Lazio to cash in.
