According to Goal, Leicester City will make a fresh attempt to sign Southampton’s Jannik Vestergaard after missing out on him in January.
The Foxes have been heavily linked with the Denmark international.
In January, Brendan Rodgers’s side was set to sign Vestergaard in a £26 million deal. However, the Saints vetoed the transfer at the last minute.

Goal now claim the Foxes will renew their attempts to sign him, but it’s unlikely the Saints will be able to command a similar fee this time around.
Aside from the global health pandemic impacting clubs’ finances, Vestergaard has struggled to get any real game-time at Southampton since January.
The 27-year-old made his first start since mid-February in the 3-1 win at Watford. It was only his 14th Premier League start this season.
Leicester will be plotting for a potential Champions League campaign next season.
The Foxes boosted their top four hopes with a comfortable 3-0 win over Crystal Palace, leaving them three points clear of top four rivals Manchester United.
Leicester have a settled centre-back partnership in Jonny Evans and Caglar Soyuncu. But Rodgers appears to be a big fan of Vestergaard and feels he will strengthen the squad.
Goal adds that Southampton will be happy to sell the former Hoffenheim man this summer, while Leicester could have competition for his signature.
