Premier League Leicester City have had a bid turned down by Chelsea for Huddersfield Town loanee Levi Colwill, as reported by Planet Sport.
What do Conor Gallagher, Marc Guehi, Tammy Abraham and Fikayo Tomori all have in common?
Well, the aforementioned quartet all made their name in the Championship, on loan from Stamford Bridge, before blossoming in the Premier League or Serie A.
And, on the back of an outstanding spell in Yorkshire, the smart money is on Colwill following in their footsteps.
Will Levi Colwill leave Chelsea for Leicester?
According to Graeme Bailey of Planet Sport, Leicester have already seen one bid rejected by Chelsea for the 19-year-old centre-back. The Foxes are likely to return in the summer.
It is believed that Chelsea may be tempted to give Colwill a first-team chance in West London next term however. Thomas Tuchel certainly needs all the defenders he can get.
If Colwill wants to play Premier League football week-in, week-out, however, he may be tempted by Leicester’s offer.
The Foxes have let in more goals this season (43) than relegation-threatened Everton and Burnley. And, even against opposition as limited as Randers in the UEFA Conference League, Leicester have spent much of the last six months looking like conceding every time they are under attack.

It goes without saying that, if Leicester are to push their way back into the Champions League fixture, these bad habits cannot be allowed to continue.
Jonny Evans’s successor?
And Colwill, an England U19 international, may be viewed as a potential successor to Jonny Evans. The fact remains that Leicester remain worryingly reliant on a 34-year-old spending more and more time on the treatment table.
“When people like that come in, he’s a young player and you question is he going to perform?” Colwill’s Huddersfield team-mate Lewis O’Brien tells Yorkshire Live.
“But he has stepped into the Championship unbelievably well. I’m sure he’s got a fantastic career ahead of him at the highest level.”
