Foxes boss Claude Puel thought he had done enough to bring the 20-year-old to the King Power Stadium in the summer, but the Bees actually ended up demanding in excess of £15 million for the defender.

The east Midlands outfit will face competition from Bournemouth in the race for the Brentford ace, according to the British tabloid, with Eddie Howe sending his scouts to watch him in action on a regular basis this season.
In today’s day and age, £15 million for Mepham actually represents decent value for money, and if Leicester manage to sign him, it could turn out to be a real coup for the club.
