Leicester City lured Brendan Rodgers from Celtic last month.

According to The Telegraph, Leicester City forked out a huge £9million fee to lure Brendan Rodgers and his staff away from Celtic.
After being thumped 4-1 at home by Crystal Palace last month, the Foxes decided to part ways with boss Claude Puel – and moved quickly for his replacement.
Celtic’s Rodgers was expected to be the top target in the summer, but Leicester instead moved immediately, and Rodgers surprisingly quit Celtic for the King Power Stadium.
Rodgers walking out of Parkhead whilst chasing a third straight treble with Celtic has sparked real anger with Bhoys fans, but Celtic allegedly think it was great business for him to go.
That’s because Leicester paid a staggering £9million for Rodgers and his staff according to The Telegraph, more than double what Everton paid to get Marco Silva last summer in their dispute with Watford.

Rodgers lured Celtic staff members Kolo Toure, Chris Davies and Glen Driscoll to Leicester with him, and the total package for the quartet cost Leicester a huge sum of money.
With Celtic landing a replacement for free in Neil Lennon, it’s no great surprise that the Bhoys hierarchy are delighted with the deal – and it certainly cushions the blow from his shock and abrupt exit.
