Leicester City are reportedly keen on signing the Marseille ace.

According to a report from the Evening Standard, Leicester are lining up a £12 million summer swoop for Marseille right-back Hiroki Sakai.
The 28-year-old still has three years remaining on his current £50,000 per week deal with the Ligue 1 outfit, but a substantial offer could tempt the French club into selling.
The Japan international joined Marseille from Hannover in the summer of 2016, and has gone on to establish himself as a really top class defender, making 82 appearances in all competitions for his club.

The Evening Standard claim that Sakai is attracting attention from Leicester, although the Foxes will face competition from the likes of Crystal Palace and Brighton and hove Albion in the race for his signature.
Good signing for Leicester?
Sakai is a heavily experienced right-back, and he would provide excellent competition for Danny Simpson at the King Power Stadium.
He is incredibly quick, and has an impressive positional sense.

The Japanese ace is also competent at bombing down the flank and supporting his side’s more attack-minded players.
If Leicester manage to bring him to the east Midlands for just £12 million, it could turn out to be a signing of real significance for the Foxes.
