Leicester City are set to make their first signing of the summer with Thanawat Suengchitthawon heading to the King Power Stadium from Nancy, according to the Mail.

Before you ask, yes we did copy and paste that one.

Because, while this 20-year-old midfielder might be highly-regarded on the other side of the Channel, he is yet to become a household name in English shores.

But if Brendan Rodgers can transform his career, working wonders on another young talent after helping James Maddison, Kieran Tierney, Raheem Sterling and Odsonne Edouard fulfill their potential, soon we’ll all be able to spell and pronounce one of the longest names in football.

Suengchitthawon is a free agent after his contract at Nancy expired.

And, according to The Mail, Leicester will snap up the former France U17 star for absolutely nothing with talks underway regarding a move to the Midlands.

Suengchitthawon, a versatile midfielder who can play in attacking or defensive roles, has Thai heritage.

It is surely no coincidence that Leicester’s King Power owners also hail from South East Asia.

But while only highly-rated youngster is set to arrive, Leicester will reportedly miss out on another.

The Foxes were keen on Bulgarian teen Filip Krastev but the Slavia Sofia starlet is set to join Premier League rivals Manchester City instead.
