It seems only a matter of time before Leicester City part ways with Ben Chilwell. The Englishman has been heavily linked with a move to Chelsea and a deal is expected to be completed soon (BBC).
This is not the first time Leicester will lose one of their best players. The likes of N’Golo Kante, Riyad Mahrez, Danny Drinkwater and Harry Maguire have all left the club for big money. But the Foxes have always replaced them with quality additions.
With Chilwell on his way out, the Foxes need a quality replacement and, if reports are to be believed, they have identified a brilliant left-back.
CalcioMercato claimed last week that Leicester were in talks to sign Ajax’s Nicolas Tagliafico. The report claimed that Ajax want £40 million for the Argentine who would be a brilliant replacement for Chilwell.
Tagliafico, 27, is at the peak of his career and is capable of playing at the highest level. The former Independiente defender has had a hugely successful time at Ajax, winning three trophies in his two seasons there.
Leicester, if reports are to be believed, have found an excellent defender to bring in this summer. But they are now set to face some serious competition in the race to sign him.

Leicester are not alone in the race to sign Tagliafico
Gianluca Di Marzio claim that Napoli are also interested in signing Tagliafico this summer. The Italians are looking to sell Faouzi Ghoulam soon and the Ajax star is allegedly one of their targets to replace him.
The report claims that Napoli have asked Ajax for information over a potential deal. Leicester have also been in discussions with the Dutch giants and it seems the Foxes have a slight edge over the Italians.
Napoli can only make a move for Tagliafico once Ghoulam is sold. That gives the Foxes a window of opportunity to make their move, which is a no-brainer if Chilwell’s exit is imminent.
