Everton are continuing to show interest in the Leicester City player, according to reports.
Everton, who are also said to be pursuing a move for Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud, have previously been linked with a move for Gray, who was brought to Leicester in early 2016 by Toffees director of football Steve Walsh.
Leicester City’s Demarai Gray
And they appear to be back on his trail once again, after the 21-year-old impressed for England at the recent European Under-21 Championship – scoring two goals and creating another in four appearances.
Gray’s Leicester contract is said to contain a £22 million release clause, which if triggered would render the Foxes powerless to keep the player should he wish to leave.
And with Everton likely to have to pay £30 million to sign Bournemouth’s Josh King, according to The Telegraph, it’s possible they could move for Gray as a cheaper alternative.
Nevertheless, King scored 16 goals during last season’s Premier League campaign, which is 15 more than his Leicester counterpart.
