Leicester City have been linked with M’Baye Niang.
According to GianlucaDiMarzio, Leicester City plan a new bid for AC Milan’s M’Baye Niang this summer.
The Italian report claims that the Foxes launched an eight-figure bid for the striker in January, and despite a deal not materialising, the Premier League leaders plan on making a new offer this summer.
Niang started his career at Caen and following an excellent debut campaign at the club, he signed for Milan ahead of a number of Premier League suitors for an undisclosed fee in 2012.
The France U21 striker has often been labelled a phenomenon due to his ability at such a young age, yet thus far he has failed to really shine in Milan colours as the Serie A giants continue to struggle.
Capable of playing either as a wide forward or a central striker, Niang has managed five goals and four assists in Serie A this season despite not being a regular first-teamer at the San Siro.
The 21-year-old has undoubted potential and Milan are seemingly desperate to keep him, however the club’s failure to return to the Champions League leaves them in a vulnerable position.
GianlucaDiMarzio’s report says Borussia Dortmund are a keen admirer of the player, yet his future could instead lie in England as Leicester prepare to make a new bid for him this summer.
Claudio Ranieri’s men will have Champions League football to offer, while the financial gains of playing in the Premier League could prove a further incentive for Niang to move to the King Power Stadium.
