Leicester City are reportedly ready to recall West Brom loanee Harvey Barnes.

According to The Express and Star, Leicester City are ready to activate the recall clause in Harvey Barnes’ West Bromwich Albion loan deal.
The Foxes allowed homegrown talent Barnes to go out on loan to West Brom, having previously sent him to Milton Keynes Dons and Barnsley.
Leicester are keen for the winger to get first-team football, but did include a recall clause in the deal, in case Barnes excelled so much at The Hawthorns that he could be of use in the Premier League.
That’s exactly what has happened. Barnes, 20, has now hit five goals and two assists in 12 Championship games for West Brom, helping Darren Moore’s side sit second in the Championship table.
Now though, The Express and Star report that Leicester are now planning to activate that recall clause in Barnes’ deal, meaning he will be returning to the King Power Stadium in January.
Leicester’s wide options were hit with Riyad Mahrez’s departure in the summer, and it’s fair to say that Demarai Gray, Mark Albrighton and Rachid Ghezzal have yet to really nail down a spot.

That means that Barnes could feasibly come back in January and seriously compete for a starting role, rather than sitting on the sidelines when he could be playing regularly for West Brom.
The news is a huge blow for West Brom, who may now start to look for other wingers for January, though they have just signed Bakary Sako on a free transfer, meaning he could be geared up to be the replacement for Barnes when he does head back to Leicester.
