Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino has reportedly been tracking Leicester City’s Youri Tielemans for some time.

According to the Daily Star, Leicester City are looking to snap up Youri Tielemans before Tottenham Hotspur even have a chance to move.

Tielemans has been on loan at Leicester from Monaco and his form has been highly impressive.

The £40 million midfielder has attracted the attentions of Tottenham (Daily Mail), among other clubs, and there are now fears that a bidding war could take place this summer.

Leicester want to avoid paying over the odds for the central midfielder, and Brendan Rodgers is now looking to get the deal wrapped up early on this summer.

Leicester want to get Tielemans’ future before Tottenham have even submitted a bid.

The Foxes are already in discussions with Monaco, and they have instructed the French club that they do not want negotiations to be lengthy.

Tottenham may now need to respond, otherwise they could miss out on the chance to bring the talented 22-year-old to White Hart Lane.
