Leicester City are looking to submit an improved bid for George Hirst.

According to reports from The Daily Mail, Leicester City are leading the race to sign Sheffield Wednesday’s highly rated young forward, George Hirst.

The Foxes have had an opening £1 million bid rejected already, but they have submitted an improved offer in the region of £2 million.

Hirst is a highly talented young forward who is viewed as one of the best emerging talents in the country.

The report claims that the new offer includes a host of add-ons. Overall, one can assume that they’ve submitted a lucrative package for Sheffield Wednesday to reconsider it.

Hirst has come up through the ranks with the Owls, and his first professional contract was back in March, 2016. He has already made his senior debut for Wednesday, making two appearances for the club last season.

The report also adds that a host of Premier League clubs including Arsenal, Everton, Newcastle and Manchester United have shown an interest in him, and therefore, the possibility of a late move from either of the clubs cannot be completely ruled out.

Leicester have signed Eldin Jakuovic, Harry Maguire and Vicente Iborra to boost their squad this summer, but one expects that there could be more additions before the transfer window closes.
