Leicester City and Swansea City are both keen on signing Newcastle United youngster Gideon Adu-Peprah.
According to a report in the Chronicle, Leicester City and Swansea City are both keen on signing Newcastle United youngster Gideon Adu-Peprah.
The full-back is currently on a two-year scholarship at Newcastle, and his form for the club’s development side has caught the eye.
The 17-year-old has already made seven appearances for Newcastle’s under-21 side, and he has not looked out of place.
Leicester and Swansea believe that they may be able to persuade the Ghanian to make a switch, though.
Adu-Peprah is yet to be handed a professional deal by Newcastle, and that has given Leicester and Swansea hope that they could agree a transfer.
The Chronicle suggest that Newcastle would be keen to keep hold of Adu-Peprah, but they cannot offer him first-team football yet.
The Magpies feel that the youngster should be a permanent fixture in their under-21’s next term, where he will be allowed to stake his claim for a place in the senior squad.
