Leicester City have struggled to replicate last season’s heroics so far this term.

The Foxes have entered the race to sign Norwich City’s in-demand utility man Robbie Brady, according to the Mirror, after previously showing interest in the Republic of Ireland international throughout the summer.

The 24-year-old’s future has been the subject of intense speculation over this past month, with clubs such as West Brom and Crystal Palace being credited with an interest in the Norwich man.

The report from the Mirror claims that Leicester have entered the race for Brady because Claudio Ranieri wants to send summer signing Bartosz Kapustka (who is yet to feature for the Foxes) back to Europe, either on loan or permanently.

The Norwich man has appeared in 21 Championship games for his club this term, scoring three goals and chipping in with three assists.

It is his versatility that will appeal to Ranieri, however, with his ability to play at either left-back or in a more advanced role on the left-wing.

He is also a set-piece delivery expert, something that would be ideal for the Foxes, who place such high importance on creating chances from corners and free-kicks.

The report from the Mirror claims that the Canaries are looking for at least £10 million for Brady, a fee that would be well within the realms of Leicester’s transfer budget.
