Leicester City, Burnley and Swansea City are in a ‘three-way fight’ to sign Hull City midfielder Sam Clucas, The Mirror reports.

It is claimed that Clucas could be the next player leaving the KCOM Stadium, after Curtis Davies and Harry Maguire’s moves to Derby County and Leicester respectively.

However, Hull are said to want £12 million for the left-footed midfielder, who impressed in his maiden Premier League campaign.

Clucas spent six years on Leicester’s books but was released at the age of 16. Nevertheless, the 26-year-old could be tempted by a return to the King Power Stadium, which is a similar distance away from his native Lincoln.

However, the Foxes’ Premier League rivals, Burnley and Swansea, should not be discounted – especially with Burnley likely to need a replacement for their out of contract playmaker George Boyd.

Swansea look set for a promising transfer window, with striker Tammy Abraham expected to arrive on a season-long loan from Chelsea.

Were Clucas to choose Leicester, he could be joined by a third Hull player, Eldin Jakupovic, according to The Mirror.
