AC Milan are planning a summer raid of Southampton with Ryan Bertrand facing an uncertain future at St Mary’s, according to Tuttomercatoweb, with Leicester City also interested.
The Saints have been hard at work in recent weeks, looking to ensure that their star men do not slip away through the back door.
After handing head coach Ralph Hasenhuttl a new four-year contract, Will Smallbone and Shane Long have also put pen to paper.
The Telegraph reports that talks have been planned too with exit-linked captain Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Oriol Romeu and England international Bertrand.
Now 30 years of age, Bertrand has spent the last six seasons at St Mary’s.
But could he be tempted to try his hand at something new, as he approaches the autumn of his top-level career.
TMW report that Leicester are interested with Foxes coach Brendan Rodgers identifying the former Chelsea youngster as a potential replacement for Ben Chilwell at the King Power.

Leicester will be playing Champions League football next season, and Bertrand might never have a better chance to make a return to a competition he won with Chelsea back in 2012.
The report adds that AC Milan are also keen on a man Southampton signed for a bargain £10 million. And while the Rossoneri are no longer are European force, even the most committed Saints supporter could forgive Bertrand for being tempted by a switch to the San Siro.
