According to The Telegraph, Divock Origi can leave Liverpool this month for just £7m.
The attacker has long been linked with a move away from Anfield, but now it seems as though the Reds are finally red to let the Belgian go, and if he does leave for £7m, Jurgen Klopp’s side will be making a £3m loss on the forward.
Newcastle United are amongst the interested sides according to The Telegraph, but at the bargain price of £7m, we’re sure there’ll be plenty of interested parties.
If Origi is to leave Liverpool, he will leave behind an almighty legacy.
Indeed, while the striker has largely been a fringe player for the Anfield outfit, he’s played his part in some of the most iconic moments in the club’s history.
He’s scored late winners in Merseyside derbies, and, of course, he netted twice against Barcelona in Liverpool’s famous 4-0 Champions League win against La Blaugrana in 2019.
Factor in that he would also go on to score in the Champions League final, and it’s easy to see why Jurgen Klopp has described him as a ‘legend’ because he is a true Anfield hero.
In fact, images of Origi are plastered all over the museum at Anfield due to his incredible ability to turn up in these big games.
The time may have come for Origi to leave Liverpool, but he certainly won’t be forgotten by the Anfield faithful anytime soon.
