Leeds United will have to pay up for Joao Mario if they are to sign him, as there is no possibility of him joining on loan, Record suggest.
Leeds are believed to be interested in the Inter Milan midfielder, and have made contact over signing him this week.
But Record say that Leeds will have stump up the cash to sign the Portuguese international.
There is no price quoted for Mario this time around, but last year he was valued at around £15 million (Daily Mail), and it is likely that a similar fee would be required to take him this summer.
If Mario was added to Leeds’ squad he could offer them more creativity and energy, as well as Premier League experience.

Mario impressed on a loan spell with West Ham United two years ago.
And while the 27-year-old may not be quite as eye-catching a signing as Rodrigo De Paul, who has also been linked recently, he would still be a solid addition to Marcelo Bielsa’s squad.
